| AUTOBIOGRAFIA | | | | |  Cuando nací un 26 de Enero de 1944 en Arequipa Perú, los médicos se quedaron sorprendidos y según ellos constataron que yo era la mejor prueba, de que el ser humano no descendía sino "ascendía" al MONKEY. Tal fue mi cabreo que me propuse en ese entonces que mi vida iba a ser demostrar todo lo contrario.
En la escuela ya me dedicaba a pintarrajear a compañeros y profesores, menuda paliza recibí cuando al profesor de dibujo lo pinté con cara de orangután. Cuando terminé la escuela me propusé estudiar arquitectura, fracasé en el intento pues lo único que hacía era pintar monigotes.
Luego mis padres me enviaron a Alemania, estudie 2 años en la escuela de arte de Mainz, allí los alemanes me trataron de convencer de que el cerdo era superior al MONKEY, porque al menos de el se hacían jamones y salchichas. Al fin de cuentas mis caricaturas gustaron en el diario "Wiesbadener Tagblatt" donde estuve colaborando durante 2 años.
Viajé a Berlin y empecé a pintar todas las caras iguales, me arrepentí y llegué a descubrir que cada persona era un mundo diferente.
De regreso al Perú me dediqué a pintar comics y caricaturas para los diarios "El Pueblo y "Correo" en mi ciudad natal, y realicé una exposición de caricaturas personales.
Regrese a España en 1974, de paso por Barcelona y Torremolinos, luego en Ibiza viví 7 años y en Tenerife 2, donde fui galardonado con el "Segundo Premio del Concurso Internacional de la Caricatura" con motivo del Quinto Centenario del Descubrimiento de América.
Desde 1987 radico en el más grande paraiso conocido por el ser humano, en LANZAROTE - ISLAS CANARIAS, haciendo reir a los turistas que vienen aquí a disfrutar del sol, queriendo demostrar que el MONKEY pinta caricaturas.
 En los años 2000 y 2001 participé en la convención anual de Caricaturistas de todo el mundo, organizado por la NCN en San Diego y en Atlanta EEUU. Fui premiado con el "Segundo y Tercer premio" en la clasificación de Caricaturas a Color.
En 2002 fui invitado por "Al Bayan Press" quienes organizaron el Segundo Forum de caricaturistas del mundo, realizado en Dubai - Emiratos Arabes, donde recibí un "Certificado al mérito". |
| AUTOBIOGRAPHY | | | | | When I was born on the 26th of January, 1944 in Arequipa, Peru-the doctors were very surprised at living proof that the human being did not DESCEND, but ASCENDED from the MONKEY!
I was so indignant that I promised myself that my life would be a never ending struggle to prove them wrong!
In school I started sketching my classmates and teachers, and for my efforts got a beating from one professor for painting him as an ORANGUTANG.
When I finished school I decided to study architecture, and failed in the attempt, as the only thing that came out was caricature.
My parents sent me to Germany, where I studied for two years in the School of Art of Mainz, and the Germans tried to convince me that pigs were superior to monkeys, because, at the very least one could make hams, sausages and bacon from them.
In the end, my caricatures were published by the newspaper "Wiesbadener Tagblatt", where I was the staff cartoonist for two years.
I traveled to Berlin and began to paint everybodys fave the same, but I regretted it and discovered that everyone has a DIFFERENT FACE.
Once back in Peru, I began doing comic strips and caricatures for the newspapers "El Pueblo y "Correo" and did my first exposition of caricatures in my home town.
I traveled to Spain and was in Barcelona, Torremolinos, Ibiza and the Canary Islands , painting caricatures of the tourists.
In Tenerife I won the second prize in the "International Caricature Competition" -which was part of the Fifth Century Celebration of the Discovery of America.
I now live in Lanzarote, Canary Islands-Spain- where I am still trying to prove that the MONKEY can paint CARICATURES!. |
